TransVoix is a real-time voice translation platform. We handle voice data and voice cloning, so the way we treat that data is the most important thing on this page.
Your voice isyours.
Voice cloning creates biometric data under Illinois BIPA and GDPR Article 9. We treat it with the strictest controls on the page.
Opt-in per call
Voice cloning requires explicit consent every time you start a call. Never on by default. Never silent.
Revocable instantly
Toggle off mid-call and your clone is deleted immediately, along with every localization generated from it.
No training, ever
Your voice — raw audio or cloned model — is never used to train models. Not ours, not any subprocessor’s.
Adults only
Voice cloning is restricted to users 18 and older, in compliance with biometric privacy laws.
What we collect
Account email + display name, voice audio during calls (in-memory only), voice clones (only with consent), call recordings (only if everyone agrees), and call metadata.
Account information
Email address and display name when you sign up or join a call. Sign-in is passwordless via magic link — we never see or store your password.
Voice audio (during calls only)
Your voice is streamed to our servers in real time for translation. Audio is processed in memory and is not stored unless you explicitly enable call recording.
We do not use your audio for model training.
Voice clones
If you enable voice cloning, we create a temporary voice model that lets the other person hear the translation in your voice.
Voice clones are deleted immediately when you revoke consent or when the call ends. You can revoke consent at any time during a call — deletion is instant. Business customers may negotiate longer voice-model retention as part of an order form.
Call recordings (when enabled)
If recording is enabled (with all-party consent), we store perspective recordings — each participant gets a recording of what they heard. Recordings are stored encrypted, accessible only to call participants via time-limited signed URLs, and automatically deleted after 30 days.
Call metadata
Call duration, language pairs, latency metrics, and device/browser information. Used for quality improvement and debugging. Personal information is anonymized after 12 months.
How we use your data
To translate your calls. To clone your voice if you ask us to. To improve quality. To send you receipts. Never to train models, never to sell, never to share with advertisers.

We never sell your data. We never use your voice data for model training. We never share your data with advertisers.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Each thing we do with your data is tied to one of the six lawful bases in Article 6.
Data retention & deletion
Voice audio is never stored. Voice clones die with the call. Recordings auto-delete after 30 days. Metadata is anonymized after 12 months.
Your rights
Access, delete, export, revoke. Under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and Illinois BIPA.
- Access your data — call recordings are available via your dashboard during the retention period.
- Delete your data — submit a request and we will delete your data within 30 days.
- Revoke voice cloning consent — toggle off during any call for instant deletion.
- Export your data — submit a request to privacy@transvoix.ai and we will return a structured export within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for any data processing activity.
These rights apply under GDPR (EU), CCPA/CPRA (California), and BIPA (Illinois).

TransVoix is 13+. Voice cloning is 18+.
TransVoix requires users to be at least 13 years old. Voice cloning is restricted to users 18 and older, in compliance with biometric privacy laws.
Security
Encrypted in transit and at rest. Regular security reviews. Incident response plan in place.

Material changes are emailed to active accounts. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
We will notify you of material changes via email to the address on your account. Continued use of TransVoix after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
